Books 13-17

I liked this section the most because basically everything that we had to read was quick paced and exciting to read. Also why would Neptune hate the Phacians so much when all they were doing was good deeds. I don't think that it was a very fair punishment to bury the whole city under a mountain. When Ulysses came to the swineherd as the beggar I was surprised when he was allowed in for dinner. It seems that no matter where you went, wherever you stopped back then you were allowed to go inside and have dinner and wine. Where as nowadays, all that will happen is the owners of the house where you go will just yell at you to get off their property or something. I can't wait to find out what is going to happen at the end of the book.

  1. I agree with you about the hospitality thing. It seems like if you have enough energy to travel, you don't need to be a beggar as long as you have a good story and a good approach. I would love that lifestyle! Except I would most rather be an old servant like Euryclea.
