Books 18-End
I liked reading to the end of the book. It was very exciting, especially when Ulysses had to kill all of the suitors. Except, Telemachus made it seem that there were hundreds of suitors, but when Ulysses was battling them it seemed that that there couldn't have been more than 50. But either way I liked the ending and I thought that it was a very good book. But one thing that I did notice was that there was a lot of commonly said sentences, for example, they said 'Thus they conversed' many times and they also said 'Minerva shed sweet sleep over her eyes' multiple times. I thought that it was touching when Ulysses met both his father, Laertes, and when he met his wife. I thought that it was a very well written book especially for when it was written, even though there were probably some editing done to the original version

Books 13-17
I liked this section the most because basically everything that we had to read was quick paced and exciting to read. Also why would Neptune hate the Phacians so much when all they were doing was good deeds. I don't think that it was a very fair punishment to bury the whole city under a mountain. When Ulysses came to the swineherd as the beggar I was surprised when he was allowed in for dinner. It seems that no matter where you went, wherever you stopped back then you were allowed to go inside and have dinner and wine. Where as nowadays, all that will happen is the owners of the house where you go will just yell at you to get off their property or something. I can't wait to find out what is going to happen at the end of the book.
