Where I am now in the book, the setting has changed from Paris, to Washington DC. There is a worldwide crisis going on, because the man that Mitch Rapp killed was a pretty big man on the world stage. Now everyone is wondering who to blame, and to make matters worse, the CIA still hasn't heard back from Rapp yet.

So far in the book Kill shot by Vince Flynn, there has been a lot of action and it has really kept the pages turning. One of the best agents for the CIA was on a mission in Paris when something went terribly wrong. Another agency had knew exactly where and when he would be, and set up a trap for him. Luckily for him, he managed to get out of there with only one gunshot wound, but he had to run out of the scene as soon as possible, and is not able to get in touch with his managers. Where I am right now, it has been a day and a half since the incident, and he is very cold, and in need of warm clothes and shelter. It is a great book and so far I like it a lot.

The reason that I chose to read the book Killshot by Vince Flynn is because my dad was reading it and he said it was a good book, then I read the first few chapters and liked it a lot. As started reading it I realized that it was an action book, about a spy for the CIA who is one of the best spies that they have ever had, which is the excact type of book that I like to read.

TEOGROMITMM
I just finished reading the book The effect of gamma rays on man in the moon marigolds, and it didn't end at all how I would have expected. Tillies family is very different from the capulet family but there are a few similarities. Both families disagree a lot and have a hard time getting along.
Just a few of the differences are that the Capulets are rich and would never get made fun of for looking weird. Also in Tillies family, her mom is not carefully watching her every move and trying to make all of her decisions.
Some ways that Tillies family doesn't get along are when Ruth and Beatrice are always yelling and argueing about almost everything. In the Capulets family the only ways that they don't get along are in the decision of who Juliet should marry. You can tell that the Capulets would never get made fun of because they have parties and plenty of people show up, and they are also invited to parties, which would never happen to anyone in Tillies family besides maybe Ruth. In the Capulets family the parents pretty much make every decision for Juliet, while in Tillies family, the mom didn't even come to watch Tillies big science fair.

Teogromitmm
I just finished reading through the first act of the The effect of man on the moon marigolds and it was a fast read. It was very different than any other book that I have ever read. I couldnt really truly relat to any of the characters. But if there was one character that I could sort of relate to, I would chose Tillie. There isn't really a close relation but I can kind of tell where she is coming from being smarter than a lot of the people at her school. I can't relate to Beatrice or the Nanny because they are both older than me, and Ruth seems a little too concerned with her popularity for me to be able to relate to her.

Romeo and Juliet
The character that I chose to follow throughout the play was Romeo. This is one character that definitely changed a lot throughout the play. In the beginning he was still grieving over losing Roseline. He was a very emotional person and really needed love. He was very self centered and basically felt like he was the only one that mattered in the world
He would always make quick decisions that didn't turn out to be good ones in the long run. For example when Tybalt and Mercutio were sword fighting, when Mercutio was stabbed, he made the quick decision to start fighting Tybalt, which would eventually lead to him being banished. Whenever he was around Juliet though, he was different, he was calm and relaxed. It probably seemed to his family that he was a traitor because he barely thought about the death of Mercutio, and thought more about Juliet.
The day before Juliet had to marry County Paris, she decided to take a sleeping potion, to fake her death, and then run away with Romeo. But as soon as Romeo sees the love of his life Juliet lying dead. He immediately turns back to his old self and starts making quick decisions. He decides that he wouldn't be able to live without Juliet and kills himself right then and there. Again his quick decisions turned out to not be helpful in the long run, because as soon as Juliet wakes up and sees romeo dead, she actually kills her self.

Romeo and Juliet
The first part of Romeo and Juliet was a change of pace especially, especially after recently reading the Catcher in the Rye. Like we discussed in class, there were a lot of sentences with the words scrambled around from how we would normally say things. For example on page 6 (I marked all of the pages) it says "Not having that, which, having, makes them short.". Also there are a lot of different words (which was expected) that were used back then that we don't use now. On page 21, Juliet says "Come hither, nurse. What is yond gentleman?" I also didn't think that the story would start up right away with Romeo wanting love so bad. In the beginning of the book, I was confused because Juliet didn't show up in the story until about page 11, and she is one of the main characters in the book.

The night Thorough Spent in Jail Act 2
Some conversations that I saw in the book that contained irony were when
Waldo gave his speach about everything he was going to do, although he never did any of it. Another example is when Waldo was in England telling how everything is supposed to be, but gets mad at Henry for doing the same thing in Concorde.
I think that Henry is the most important character, and can be compared to a lot of the actors that play the lead role in movies, he is very likable from the readers perspective. The next most important character would probably be Waldo, I think that he could probably be compared to a lot of main characters close friends that they can ask for advice from, and just like in any movie the best friends usually end up fighting at one point in time. Another pretty important character was Lydian, she could be compared to a lot of mothers, she is very caring and wants the best for everyone, just like any mother would.
I think that Henry's protest does not prove successful in the end. He wasn't able to change people's minds and got basically nothing out of his protest.

The night Thorough spent in Jail
In act one of "the night thorough spent in jail", huckleberries are used as symbolism. I think that they are a symbol that says despite the fact that a peaceful man is stuck in Jail, the world is still full of wonderful, nice things. They were also mentioned in Henry's teaching, he uses the Huckleberry method, which is basically sending them in the right direction, then letting them go on their own.
A Perfect Day For Bananafish
In the Story "A perfect day for bananafish" there were a few similarities to the Catcher in the Rye, which we just read. Some examples of characters that were similar were Seymour with Holden, Sybil with Phoebe, and Muriel with Jane Gallagher. Seymour was a little like Holden because they are both a bit odd, and not smart, they also share the same feelings with younger children. Sybil with Phoebe because they are both loved by older brothers. Muriel was a bit like Jane Gallagher in that they both played the same role in that they liked Seymour or Holden.

The Catcher in the Rye
If I was Holden and I had just been kicked out of school, I would probably end up going back home, or to one of my relatives houses. At this point in time, I wouldn't have enough money to stay at a hotel, and I would have enough money to buy my own food and drinks. If I was a little older though and had a job, I might stay in a hotel for a few days.
The character Jane in the book is obviously very important to Holden. I think the reason for this is that she is the only girl that he has actually had a real relationship with. As a child I am guessing that she was the only person that Holden has consistently spent time with that wasn't in his family. Holden hates to imagine that the one person that Holden was friends with as a child is now with Stadlater.
I think that what Holden said about how people are always ruining things for you is very true. I can remember numerous times when people have thrown away very important papers on accident.

The Catcher in the Rye: 1-7
I just finished reading to chapter 7 of the Catcher in the Rye and I liked it a lot. I thing that it was much better and easier to read than the Odessey. The story seemed to flow along better, and instead of describing a day in a paragraph it described 1 day in about 50 pages.
I think it is very good to be unique, it means that you are unique, unlike anyone else and nobody can ever take that away from you. In the book Holden Caufeild is very unique, he has already failed out of 4 schools. Even though that may not be very good, it still makes him unique.
In an adult world everyone really seems to keep individuality. Even though there might be thousands of adults working the same hours, at the same job, every day, every adult is still different. When adults do get a break, some like to stay at home and read, or hang with friends, the same kind of thing that they would have done as a kid.
I do not actually have a specific favorite person but if I did it would be someone that was different than everyone else. They would be unique, just like Allie's character is. Even though he may be flunking at school he is still good at heart and has a unique personality than anyone else, just like my favorite person would be.
